@Florence: This was shot using a cheap set of Bellows (from a Hong Kong ebay seller) mounted directly to the camera + a standard 50mm lens reversed on the other end of the bellows. The bellows work much like extension tubes except they are variable in size. They don't provide any electronic contact between lens and camera, so focus and aperture were adjusted manually (that's why I used an old Pentax lens - it has an external aperture ring ). The Kenko extension tubes do maintain electronic contact so will be easier to use.
If you want to stack lenses together, then a 50mm on camera with a 100mm reverse mounted onto it will give you a magnication of twice life-size. I do also have a Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro lens which is very sharp indeed, a great lens, but it won't allow you to get in quite as close as this.
