this is a great portrait - did you do some selective blurring in post processing or is this DoF from the shot? Either way it is a good end result!

@Jason Kravitz: Thanks. Yes some further blurring was added in photoshop, I think it gives portraits a bit more punch, as it concentrates the viewer's eye.

Very crisp portrait of the man, and the soft edge focus really draws the eye to his eyes. Great shot.

Even his face (which you've captured beautifully ... such passion in those eyes) conjures up memories of many a night spent with friends listening to our favorites ... I'm transported back to Chicago in the early 80s ... thanks for reawakening some fond memories!
